During this excursion, year 3 and year 4 students will explore the ways and reasons that places are similar and different and will be led to consider what life would be like living in some of Australia’s neighbouring countries. Among other activities, students will get the opportunity to construct a beach habitat for penguins, identify live insects, and participate in dip net fishing off a railed section of Chowder Bay Wharf.
Students will depart school 9:15am and return by 3:15pm. They are required to wear their sports uniform and will need to bring a small backpack containing crunch and sip, recess, lunch, water bottle, hat and raincoat in the event of wet weather. Sunscreen is recommended, regardless of the weather. No canteen facilities will be available.
