All students are encouraged to participate in the Premier's Reading Challenge which runs from February 27th - August 18th. K-2 students must read 30 books and 3-6 students must read 20 books in their challenge level. The rules of the challenge have recently changed to allow 5 PRC series books to count towards your challenge and you are allowed 10 personal choice books! Students are able to log their books on their record via the PRC student experience website.

Wheeler's ePlatform

Our school has access to hundreds of fantastic books which can be accessed through Wheeler's ePlatform. This platform can be accessed through a browser or you may download the ePlatform app to any device. Students can login using their school username and password and may borrow ebooks to read and enjoy.

Students are able to search books by their Premier's Reading Challenge level or add filters to search by books suitable for their age range. If a book is currently borrowed and unavailable, students are able to reserve that book and will be notified when it is available. Students may borrow up to 2 ebooks at the same time!

Putney Public School students are able to access World Book Online. This resource includes an online encyclopedia, games, puzzles, maps and timelines. Students can use this resource for personal interest or research tasks. World Book Online has many extra features, including a 'read-to' function and the ability to translate texts into other languages.
